Visual Problem
Choose a fiction book and pull 2-3 different themes or plot-details from the book that can be graphically expressed through the design of the jacket which is type-focused.
Solution
A book jacket for Twilight by Stephanie Meyer featuring a subtle treeline to represent the book’s location and vampire teeth on the W of “Twilight” that sink into the lower half of the book. Simple white and black cover and a small amount of red on the vampire teeth.
Moodboard featuring key imagery from the book and a simple black, white, and gray color palette to capture the most minimal essence of the imagery.
Sketches using key imagery as the main focus of each cover. I wanted a very simple solution, so each cover has only one or two themes.
